Welcome to other Blog of Catherine Crosswell. Here you will find me lining up spellings that my children have been given to learn, then turning them into poems/tales.

School Spellings for a daughter aged 12 (part 3)
LEAFLET everyone. Smile!
PRESENTATION is key. Bring your plastic
DEVICES along. Use these props with sincere
EFFECT. Let the
READER think they ARE the ultimate
VISITOR
TOURIST. The
PURPOSE of this exercise is to work on one's
AUDIENCE
TECHNIQUE. Teeth give people hope. Hope opens up wallets.
It's been another while. This spelling list is bizarre.
Hopefully the whole class got 10 out of 10.

School Spellings for a daughter aged 12 (part 2)
HISTORICAL
TRADITION comes into
EFFECT very soon. We must
ANALYSE all dairy that
SYMBOLISES
EVIDENT and
CLEAR cheese. Read the sacred
TEXT that
PRESENTS and
SHOWS the curdish wheys.
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away

School Spellings for a 12 year old daughter
Our
RIDICULOUS snack
LEADER gave an incorrect
MONSTER munch
QUOTE from
SHAKESPEARE. We tissued round his
ISSUE, smiling at the sort of
SIMILE titbit - about being busy as a
THEME bee suffering severe
ANALYSIS
This is Creative thingy Number 7 2014

4 was cake
5 was icing
6 was a form of messing/tidying/sorting

I now have to hunt through exercise books for lists that look like they might be spellings.

School Spellings for a daughter once aged 10 (part 7)
The
NARRATIVE was
ATTRACTIVE (unlike your innards)
MASSIVE (like your weighty woeful toeful toe)
CORROSIVE (very much like you, Mr Breaking Bad wannabe (but only after season 1- so please don't spoil the rest ))
CONNECTIVE (can a person be this? Hmmmmm)
SUPPORTIVE (HA!)
EXPRESSIVE (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA......possibly........no not really.... but mainly
OFFENSIVE (= yo yo yo you)
A-
Absentmindedly spellings triggering responses of the sub subconscious sub division. It's Tuesday!!

School Spellings for a Daughter once aged 10 (Part 6)
He was the
EMBARRASSMENT of the mighty
MILLENNIUM. His seeped
OCCURRENCE in
POSSESSION of the Ferrero Rocher,
OCCASIONALLY caramelised, caused the ambassador to send out a
QUESTIONNAIRE to
DISSIPATE rumours which were
INCIDENTALLY
MAGICALLY filled in by the spoilt old fashioned
MILLIONAIRE.
we shall call him Trevor
and so did they!
Mightily tricky for a 39 year old self.
The revealed double letter has shaken me a up.
(Spellings were hidden in an encased rammed shed on the shelf. They have been there for almost a year awaiting treatment.
I am having one of my sorts- sort of)

School Spellings for a Daughter aged 11
It was
AUTOMATIC to
give an
AUTOGRAPH on
the
AUTOBAHN in
the
AUTOMOBILE
in question. The
AUTOMATION
was exquisite and his
AUTOBIOGRAPHY
a thrill. His tale was played on an
AUTOHARP
without
AUTOPSY or
AUTONOMY. He
was a true
AUTOCRAT and we liked that and his love for Deuteronomy! The first spellings for 2013 have finally arrived. These are for an 11 year old daughter!
I don't know much about Autos. I do not drive.

School Spellings for a Daughter aged 10 Part 2 (A,B and C)
I think this week's spellings may have been created by a human. Although Part C spellings are a
little bizarre and fiendish and have a muchly random quality that could possibly be some form of low frequency words!
I had to look up a word.
I had to look up a word.
DO IF A
At the low
BOUGH he gave a little
COUGH, as delivering the
DOUGH was really quite
ENOUGH. Better
PLOUGH through
THOUGH quickly. Coz what he
BOUGHT was very much
SOUGHT after and not an after thought.
DO IF B
HAPPILY but
PRETTILY she
LAZILY laid down the
HUNGRILY often
WINDILY sounding baby as it
READILY added to its
HEAVILY soiled nappy.
EMPITILY the baby stared back.
DO IF C
It really is
BINARY as the
AQUAPLANE of the
AERODYNAMIC
SUPERPOWER will land on the
MICROCOSM right in the centre of
AUDITORIUM. Perhaps we could
EXPORT
it afterwards and send it as a
TRANSACTION to the
PRIMATE with the most
GRAPHIC cunning!
They
all agreed enthusiastically
for fear of execution.
for fear of execution.
